Vodafone Idea Reduces Min Recharge: Vodafone Idea has decreased the price of its least recharge plan to Rs. 20 from Rs.35, to maintain its subscribers from turning to other operators, reports Economic Times. The news arrives after the company lost 4.14 million subscribers in June, as per the data issued by TRAI.
According to the story, the group is also giving information to selected supporters to tell them about the change. Replying to that, the reason after this action is it to bring inactive customers.
However, there is a catch since the past least recharge plan of Rs. Thirty-five managed to give 30 days of friendly call benefits, now the gravity of the plan has been reduced to 28 days. However, it is not clear that the company will offer incoming calls means after the validity gets over.
Vodafone Idea Reduces Min Recharge, To recall, Airtel has also started the same plan of Rs.35, where it offers Talktime of Rs. 26, 100MB data for 28 days.
Meantime, a new report by India Numbers stated that Reliance Jio is expected to grab a fair share of both Airtel and Vodafone Idea. The firm looked out that Jio will earn a 45 per cent fair share in the next three years, thanks to its standard tariff plans. It is worth considering that the debt of Voda-Idea, Airtel and RJio at end-FY19 were at Rs. 3.9 trillion.
Both Vodafone and Idea have nearly closed network integration in all circles. The driver is losing clients as there is strong opposition in the telecom sector. Authorities (Airtel and Vodafone) are watching for other ways to improve their revenue like touching hands with OTT players.
But, we still think that reducing the prices of grain recharge plans will not help.
Vodafone to bring more subscribers because Reliance Jio continues the lead in the paid and postpaid plans.
