US Lauds India,The United States on Thursday told that it reaches with India for using new anti-terror law to charge Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar,

Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and two -others as terrorists.

“We stand w/ #India & commend it for using new legal authorities to choose four famous terrorists: Maulana Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi & Dawood Ibrahim. This current law expands opportunities for joint #USIndia efforts to battle the stick of terrorism,” US gov’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs tweeted.

Azhar, Saeed, Mumbai terror assault accused Zaki-ur-Rehman-Lakhvi and criminal gangster Dawood Ibrahim were on Wednesday said individual terrorists by the government under an anti-terror law. The arrangements have been taken nearly a month after Parliament approved a significant amendment to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Act, 1967.

They are the 1st to be declared terrorists under the new anti-law, a home ministry official stated.

The US Lauds India, According to the UAPA, first only a group could be listed as a terrorist organization. The improvements made in the Act allows the government to maintain even an individual as a terrorist.

These four are included in terrorist strikes in India and have been selected as global terrorists under the United Nations. “Earlier when terrorist organizations were banned, the individuals connected with them simply switched names and recommenced to carry out terrorist activities,” an official statement said.
