Storey Building Collapses in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi: Two souls died and 3-were injured after a 4-Storey Building Collapses in Bhiwandi’s Shanti Nagar area in Maharashtra on Saturday.
The dead have been recognised as Siraj Ahmed Ansari (23) and Akhib Ansari (22).
At least 15 people are still worried about trapped in the debris.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) raced to the place and saved 3-people who were brought to a hospital.
“We left the whole house, but some people began the building without approval. It was then that the building fell,” Ashok Rankhamb, Commissioner of Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation was quoted as saying news agency ANI.
Four people were released, of them, one died. The building was reportedly 8-years old and was built illegally. BMC officials said an inquiry would be carried out to look into the cause of the collapse.
The rescue operation is still moving. More details are awaited.
