On Reaching Mumbai, Rebel MLA Nagaraj Makes U-turn; Announces Will Not Take Back Resignation

Staying adamant on their call on not taking back resignations, Karnataka Congress MLA ST Somasekhar on Sunday mentioned that there was no division among rebel legislators and that they are united on the problem. He additionally said that no organisation was in touch with them.

Addressing a news conference in Mumbai, Somshekhar said, “We will not take back resignations. There is no division among the rebel MLAs. We are not in contacts with other organisation, and if any party is attempting to approach us, we are not responding to them.”

The rebel lawmaker further mentioned that K Sudhakar was in Delhi, and he will be supporting them all the more. “He would be a part of us and will be joining in Mumbai anytime soon,” Somshekhar adscititious.

Rebel MLA MTB Nagaraj, who had earlier expressed confidence that he would bring back another dissatisfied lawmaker from Mumbai, was also present at the news conference. He stated that there was no chance of him taking the resignation back.

“There is not any question of taking back my resignation,” he said.

Visuals of Nagaraj boarding a chartered flight had earlier surfaced on native news channels. Leaders of the Congress-JD(S) coalition are going to negotiate with Nagaraj on Saturday in an exceedingly bid to woo him back to save the 13-month aged H D Kumaraswamy-led government that’s on the brink of collapse.
