Aamir Khan has shared a release video for his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, an accurate remake of Hollywood model Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks. While the small video doesn’t reveal Aamir’s look as the Sikh character, it debuts the 1st notes from Pritam’s sound-track.
Aamir captioned the video with the songs from the melody.
“Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum…” The music for the movie will be made by Pritam, according to the credits, and the lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
In addition to this report, the accounts also reveal that Paramount Pictures, the studio that gave Forrest Gump, will be included in some capacity. Paramount’s parent company, Viacom will distribute the film. Forrest Gump, directed by Robert Zemeckis, said the story of a simple-minded man who inadvertently influences essential cultural & political issues within his journey across America.
Writer Eric Roth, who got the Academy Award for his book for Forrest Gump, has been recognised for Laal Singh Chaddha as well. The Hindi cinema has been ‘adapted by’ Atul Kulkarni.
Laal Singh Chaddha was due to begin shooting on Nov 1. In an interview to HT, Aamir had shared some details about the role, and how he’d change from Hanks’ Forrest Gump. “Atul Kulkarni has done the change, and he has made him a Sardaar (Sikh guy), that’s why I’m getting my beard. So far, I’m happy with the lines; we begin shooting on Nov 1. Hopefully, we’d be able to perform it well,” he’d told. “This character is amiable. He’s so young… he has got this strange way of seeing at things. He’s someone you immediately sympathise with when you connect. Unless I make it badly (laughs), then it’s a strange game. As a printed character, it’s such that you’d fall in love with him straight away.”
Directed by Advait Chandan and Laal Singh Chaddha will meet Aamir with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film slated for release on Christmas, 2020.
