West Indies hit a relief win over India A in their fourth informal ODI at Coolidge on Friday, July 19, hitting five runs.
India A had already covered the first three matches, but the hosts were able to withdraw and whitewash after a good collective showing bat and ball.
West Indies A continued to put the bat first and got off to a bad start as opener Kjorn Ottley cut one to Ishan Kishan off Khaleel Ahmed in the opening up itself.
Sunil Ambris & Devon Thomas put together a 73-run platform that culminated in the then-holed excavation of Navdeep Saini behind Krunal Pandya, only four runs by a half-century.
But, with Roston Chase (84) and Jonathan Carter (50) chipping in, the worthy half-assed Thomas (70) tossed the hosts a modest 298-9 during their 50 overs.
Khaleel was the best of the bowlers for India A, ending with innings of 4-67. Avesh Khan got 3-62 in 8 overs of his time.
In response, both openers Anmolpreet Singh (11) and Ruturaj Gaekwad (20) got off to an early start but Hanuma Vihari (20) with a gain to the left has also come cheap.
Pandya came for a well made 45m skipper Manish Pandey ran only 24. At 127-5 in the 26th, India A marked out of the game.
It helps that both Washington Sundar (45) and Ishan Kishan (14) are also batting in the innings.
However, a counter-attacking 81 from Axar Patel very nearly took India home, but they ended their 50 overs on 293-9.
The Final Game of Thrones gets a place at the same venue on Sunday (July 21).
