Tensions among the Indian & Chinese Troops Face off in border troops fired up once again on Wednesday as soldiers of the 2sides involved in a continued battle in eastern Ladakh. The face-off started on the northern bank of the 134-km-long Pangong Tso, two-thirds of which is dominated by China as it extends into Tibet.
According to News sources, patrolling Indian companies were faced by People’s Liberation Army soldiers, who opposed to their appearance. This then led to a fight between the two sides. As the Indian troops held their ground, extra personnel were deployed. Following this, both teams returned to their bases.
India has accused and asked for a Border Personnel Meeting to fix the issue.
The fight comes a month ahead of the crucial meetings between PM Modi and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping. Indian & Chinese Troops Face off This is not the 1st time that such an incident has occurred. Last year, ahead of Modi-Xi Wuhan top in April, Chinese troops were told to have split the LoA (Line of Actual Control) 28 times.
Relations within the 2countries survive tense following China’s opposition to the abrogation of Article 370.
A day after the Modi government went to keep the state a Union Territory, taking away its unique status, the Chinese Foreign Ministry set out a statement in strong opposition.
Since then, China has been supporting Pakistan in its objection to the movement and has highlighted that.
“The parties involved should practice control and act with care, particularly to avoid doing that modify the status quo and exacerbate the tension”.
