Former AP speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao commits suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Former speaker and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kodela Siva Prasad Rao commits suicide at this house on Mon. Rao, 72, was reportedly shocked over the number of cases filed against him and his family members over different issues. The AP police more recently booked the former legislator for moving furniture from the assembly to his hose in Guntur

According to TDP leader, who did not need to be known and was closely connected with Rao,

 things had not been well with the former-speaker over the last few years after he got some credit for his actions. “It was more to do with his son K. Siva Ram, who had created a bad character,” he said. The former speaker reportedly killed himself to death at his home, situated in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills area.

Moreover, under the previous TDPled government, there were also charges against Kodela Siva Prasad Rao,

 Kodela Siva Prasad Rao commits suicide That he and his family members were getting ‘K-tax’, or money in return for services. In June this year, a case was recorded by the Narsarao rural police against his daughter P. Vijayalakshmi on the charge by another lady that the former was demanding money.

The former speaker lost his place of Satenapalle in the 2019 AP state elections to the ruling-YSR Congress Party’s Ambati Rambabu. He had won the area with a border of about 900 seats in the 2014 elections. Known as the ‘Palnadu (a region comprising parts of Prakasam& Guntur districts Tiger’, and had been with the TDP since 1983. “He was from a rare kind that did not shift, and was loyal to the party’,” added the TDP leader, who was quote earlier.
