DRDO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Rustom-2 : An uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Defence Research and Development Organisation collapsed during a trial in an agriculture area in Chitradurga district on Tuesday, a video of which has gone viral.
However, no accidents were reported.
The incident created a scare ultimately at Jodi Chillenahalli village as a big noise was discovered after the drone crashed.
Soon, a large number of people assumed at the spot.
Verifying the incident, Chitradurga Superintendent of Police Arun K informed PTI that the UAV crashed in the areca nut farm this morning, but no one was damaged.
DRDO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Rustom-2 Videos of the crashed UAV went viral on social media.
According to state gov officials, the testing of the flying vehicle called ‘Rustom-2’ was in progress when the incident occurred.
When reached, a DRDO official rejected to comment on it.
