Mega Star Chiranjeevi begins the new film with Koratala Siva was officially launched on Tuesday, the favourable occasion of Vijayadashami, the producers announced. To be collectively produced by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainments, the yet-untitled design marks the first collaboration of Chiranjeevi and Koratala Siva.
The launch ceremony was accompanied by Chiranjeevi’s mother Anjana Devi, son Ram Charan and wife Surekha with others.
The genre of the design is yet unknown. However, reliable sources have confirmed that it’ll be an action drama. Siva is famously known for directing blockbuster films such as Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu.
Chiranjeevi begins the new film with Koratala Currently dubbed Chiru 152, the film is assumed to go on the floors next month. It will have cinematography by Tirru while Sreekar Prasad will get care of the editing. Suresh Selvarajan will manage the production design.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is revelling in the completion of his latest statement Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which has earned over Rs. 200 crores worldwide in its hole weekend.
Directed by Surender Reddy, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the story of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and his fight upon the British for independent India.
The film, produced by Ram Charan on a budget of Rs 275 crore, including stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Nayanthara.
On confirming the project, Chiranjeevi had announced it was his long-time love to play a traditional character.
“It has ever been my goal to play Bhagat Singh. Notwithstanding staying offered the role back then, I couldn’t pretend it for many reasons, and some of my counterparts later played it. Several actors across languages played it.
I disapprove missing out on an opportunity to play the role because I don’t think anyone requires to make a film on him today,” Chiranjeevi told.
The movie, which was also released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, has music by Amit Trivedi. Originally, AR Rahman was approved for the project, but he opted out indicating lack of time due to other responsibilities.
