Biography Of George Reddy: George Reddy. An enduring name that has delved profound into the history of Osmania University, Hyderabad. The University Osmania is the area which gave birth to number innovative leaders and many revolutionary moments. On April 14th 1972, at the age of 25 George Reddy, famously identified as the Che Guevara of Hyd died in a student hostel by right-wing parts at university due to one of this Revolutionary moment.

George Reddy, who is research in physics at OU. He is Born in Palakkad, Kerala to the Leela Varghese & Raghunath Reddy. Due to his father’s Profession travelled and considered at Kollam, Chennai, Warangal and finally ended up his life at Hyderabad.

He was one of the most prominent student leaders in Andhra Pradesh governments at that time. Also, the founder of Progressive & Democratic Students Union (PDSU) which was a student body on the campus of the university. George worked welfare Poor and fought against the difference at different steps in the university and Society.

Student Career

George Reddy was an OU gold medalist, also read History, Literature, Philosophy and International Affairs extensively. George held extraordinary intelligence by answering his question in the class was always a challenge for his professors. His fellow students highly respected him not only for his academic excellence but for his common sense and his battle against the politically powered devils and bureaucrats.

As a Student Activist

George Reddy caused by the Soweto student revolt next the apartheid in South Africa, Emerging Black Panthers movement, Student Upsurge in France, in the U.S started fighting at Naxalbari and Srikakulam which are critical political events of those times. Always recites a poem by Bahadur Shah Zafar, which indicates a kind of ideological motivation.

George always thought this critical message “Jeena Hai thomarnaseekho, Kadam Kadam par ladnaseekho” (Learn to die if you wish to live, learn to fight at every step) did an influence for too many scholars and leaders. Also, his followers & professors always get that if he had stayed his studies in Theoretical Physics, he would undoubtedly have gone on to win a Nobel Prize.

George Reddy’s Death

George Reddy never considered for warnings from student bodies attacking him, politicians who were pissed off by his following on-campus and by goons who believed he was a threat to their business. He was a one-person army and a man of action. On 14th April 14th, The Osmania University Engineering college campaign was in full swing and when communal forces brutally killed him at Engineering college Hostel1. George was sure to get the assembly elections, but to everyone’s shock, he brutally murdered by Jan Shang opposition activist on campus. There was for sure a sizeable political force which planned and executed this murder with the help of a massive mod in broad daylight.

The famous leaders like Bhagat Singh, Chetan Bhagat, and Che Guevara and George will always live in history forever.
